No point looking at weather reports more than 2 days ahead.

Worst case I take the Versys if the weather looks crap. I'll struggle against your litre bikes but at least I know the island.

I'll be struggling a bit of it's wet as the tyres are still really new and the have really changed the handling of the bike (for the better) do having to re-learn it a but

I've had 4 days on the isle of man, over 2 years ago so I doubt that I will be going too fast.

It will be a good few days whatever the weather I think.

We are there to enjoy it, not set lap records. The mountain road is only a small part of the IOM.

The forecast I've just looked at was showing more than showers.

The great annual debate of leather vs gortex begins.

Textile jacket for me, goretex boots, leather jeans and waterproof overs for the jeans.

I'm using the Versys. I don't want to risk the street tyres on wet mountain roads.

Still got the Supercorsas on the street? I personally like them in the wet (not the damp, only a truly wet road). very predictable due to the long treads - really good for drifting too!!

No, Rosso Corsa - they don't work well in the damp or in the wet. I've had a couple of big slides and a very close highside from them.

The supercorsas on the 765 seemed to be better in the wet but I put that down to using rain mode.

I ve had about 6 sets of Rosso Corsa on various bikes and used to believe they were really good but the Conti's I ve just tried are an absolutely brillant fast road tyre in the dry and the 6 miles I managed the other day in the rain they were very good and confidence inspiring. Never felt so confident in the wet (y)

I will probably meet you guys in Liverpool, anyone know a decent coffee shop near the port?

Oh and i may fuel up in Liverpool too, 'tis a tad more pricey on the island.

I'm staying in the same place I did last year, so hoping to stuff down a full English and meet up with duke.
