Show me your garage!

Post by jlawie »

Need some inspiration on laying out the garage workbench and shelving etc.

With 2 motorbikes and 3 push bikes....its a tight squeeze already!

Back in the day when I still had bikes (a CB500, VFR800 and Thunderbird 900) I organised my garage as below (subsequently it got done over and my tools and tool box and mountain bike got nicked...but that's a different story!)

"Stuff" down the far end....

Which allowed me to fit all these in....

This thread sounds like a great way to get robbed.

I'm in the process of pimping mine at the moment. It's now racked out down one side , I have my workbench built at the far end. I've just put self levelling compound down on the concrete to get it nice and smooth and have some two part epoxy floor paint on order. I've gone for red just to keep the place cheery. Once that's done I can get my machines organised and clear out some of the crap. At the moment it's piled high on every surface to enable me to do the flooring.

I don't think as long as you don't give your postcode and address anything will happen. Keep the pics in the garage, who knows where they are?

Have you got room / height to hang your push bikes from the ceiling and maybe clear out some room that way?
