A midweek ride out

Post by Kwacky »

Thinking ahead for summer (if it arrives) I know there are issues with some people working shifts and weekends. It also looks like we're not doing the Isle of Man this year (sad face). Weekends can also be too busy on some of the better roads.

So I was wondering if it was worth organising a rideout in Wales for a weekday rather than a weekend? If there's a enough interest I was going to suggest some of us riding to and meeting at a B&B on the evening so we can spend the say on the roads?

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Interest?

I thought your mate Towers told you sort a date for that? That's your task. I'll do this ride out, you get some dates for Donny :)

Meet up this side of the border. Not sure about starting point yet. I've not really thought about a route but would like to head out West.

I did a few ride outs round N Wales with the guys off the SV650.ORG, they were good routes but a bit northern for some, maybe mid wales, Brecon beacons etc or the Elan valley, don't mind really

I realise location is always going to be an issue until we get Star Trek style transporters, which I why I'm hoping having the option of meeting up the evening before will make it a bit easier for people. Hereford or somewhere like that could be a decent starting point.

I also intend to do a more southern wales ride out later on, starting from Bristol way.

Hereford sounds good, all depend's on dates, my Scottish trip has gone south so I could do with something to look forward too.

At the moment I can do either of those, apart from the last week in July.
S'pose I'd better pre-warn the missus!

I want to do it before the summer holidays start so the last week or two of July are out.

I must be tired. I read "dodging" as "dogging" (giggle)
