:? From a basic design perspective, I wonder why the central charging bays are linear.? -Surely they should be at 45 degrees, to allow better access and greater numbers of charge-points for that length of run.?
Also I was surprised they didn't look to incorporate a wind turbine within their profile, as well as the solar panels. It would also make the site more remotely visible, as a bonus.

I think the majority of cars have their charging point at the rear, so angled bays would encourage reversing... This is not always a productive exercise. Plus I think there may be a bit of "keeping with the familiar"

I'm sure they mentioned wind power in the interview, I may be wrong but didn't they touch on poor weather and not being able to generate with solar?

Might be to do with the fact that there is no standard position for a charging point on electric cars and they don't want anyone knocking a charging cable. I would guess the consequences of danaging one could be quite big.

I know quite a few have charging points on both sides.

Maybe the ICE isn't dead, but maybe it will live in a different guise.
