Triumph Tiger 850 Sport

Post by duke63 »

Just had an email from Triumph to say this will be revealed in 17 November.

I am guessing this might replace the Tiger 1050.

Or a budget intro adventure bike for newer riders/commuters?

The new Tigers aren't cheap. So this could be their Trident equivalent.

So it's a road bike then. Still a triple, with a 1, 3, 2 firing order. 85PS and 82NM

Preload only adjustment at the rear. 2 rider modes. So that sounds like it's more of a budget bike that you accessorise. But I don't think a starting price of £9,300 is budget. Going on the limited specs and what Triumph are saying about the bike it sounds like it's geared up for commuting and basic touring. The 20l tank is useful.

Disappointed. Thought they were going to use the Tiger and give it a more sporting character.

Seems more like an entry level Tiger with the word ‘Sport’ added to sex it up.

They've dropped the basic Tiger 900 and replaced it with this.
