two fingers is from the battle of agincourt ,the English bow men used two fingers on the bows and gave the french the Vs because they were going to shoot the shit out of them
Almost. The French would cut off the index and/or middle fingers of any English bowmen they captured so they couldn't shoot again. The English flicked the V's to show they had their archers ready.
I always understood the biker v-sign was just shorthand for "two wheels"...and that's that - nothing deep or meaningful. Although allegedly messrs Harley and Davidson would greet each other this way when they crossed paths with one another, eventually leading to them joining forces.
As for Agincourt, British longbowmen, etc...isn't that just folklore??
And didn't it just refer to the middle-finger salute??

Harley rides dont greet anybody on a plastic sports bike they are far to hard and cool for that
