Insurance renewal time

Post by Kwacky »

I'm with Devitts. Last year it was £668.53 for all 3 bikes, legal cover and clothing cover.

What do we reckon this year will be?

Yep. European cover is included.

Renewal price is £653.24

I'm going to give them a call. I can reduce my annual mileage now as I'm working from home 2 days a week.

That's not bad. It's only marginally more than in paying for the XR!

(facepalm)

Called them up to change some of the details for my renewal, including reducing the mileage on my Versys as I'm home working 2 days a week now

"that'll be £55.40 to amend your policy"

You what mate?

We got the point where he needs to call me back with a new price for renewal.

I'm bored of waiting for Devitts to come back to me so I'm seeing what Cornmarket and BikeSure have to offer.

Called Devitts - they've promised to call me back today. In the meantime they've taken the money out of my account for the renewal price (headbang)

Cornmarket have quoted me £579.74 for all 3 bikes. They don't need mileage for each bike so it's rider mileage which is helpful. Means I can chop and change as I like. I might even use the MV when the weather is good.

BikeSure will have a quote for me today or tomorrow.

Devitt can't match the Cornmarket quote so I'm getting a refund.

Cornmarket have also said they'll upgrade my insurance to Business Class 1 for the bikes due to the miles I do and as the miles are mostly commuting. It means I can go to more than one place of work and visit clients/witnesses etc on the bike.

I've gone with Cornmarket. They got it to £537.13 which I'm happy with given I've got 3 bikes and the miles I do.
