Dealers struggling

Post by duke63 »

Just seen Ducati Proteam in the south east say they may have to close the doors at the end of the month.

I know they are not alone in finding things difficult.

I had a coffee in a BMW dealers yesterday as I was doing a job up the road from there, they haven't moved a bike this week and that's unusual, somebody buys a GS of some description every day. Car dealers are feeling it as well, as are parts suppliers.
I am mulling over changing my wife's Suzuki for a BMW xr.

Spending generally is down. We somehow avoided a recession last quarter. If I was cynical I would say that the figures were fudged.

A continuous trickle of hollow, pallid edgy punters sidling up to a very slickly operated three man team, each with a bicycle & a clearly defined role within their distribution setup.
Have you been watching The Wire again?
