To be honest there isn’t enough there to make me want to upgrade anytime soon. Enjoying the bike as it is.

It’s now got 1800 miles on it and the engine is freeing up nicely. It’s noticeably sharper as the miles go on and the different modes do make a significant difference depending on how you want to ride the bike.

Very happy with mine. Not missed the Multi one bit which has surprised me a lot.

What are the power modes on yours?

Mine are Rain which is lower power but not sure by how much, Road is full power (so I m led to believe) but softer throttle response and Sport is full power with a more aggressive throttle response.

I noticed the difference with the power modes on the RS.

Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider mode on mine. Rider mode is one where you can use any settings for TC, ABS etc and make up your own amalgamation of the various options. You can switch ABS and TC off too in this option which is what my Rider mode is set as.

Turning TC off seems to have quite a noticeable effect on the urgency of the throttle.

I am guessing also that the various 'power' settings in each mode are different in each gear, it certainly seems that way to me. For example in Track mode it feels to me like the bike pulls harder in 4, 5 and 6 gear above 7000rpm than it does in 1,2 and 3rd gear. It might be just my imagination but it would make sense to tune it that way.

Just done a quick comparison on the spec sheets and the new bike make its 79nm of torque at 9350rpm compared to the 77nm at 11000rpm on mine.

Claimed maximum power is the same on both and at the same revs.

New bike uses 10% more fuel and is not Euro 5 according to the Triumph website spec sheet.

Seat height is 15mm higher.

Everything else is pretty much identical.

Its just a revision. Shows how little more the Daytona LE engine made tbh.

The only thing i'd be interested in is the Connectivity in the TFT (which they said can be applied to our Streets) and possibly the blipper.

To be honest there the same rider modes as mine Duke. The rain, road and sport, I mentioned are the power modes / maps available within those rider modes combined with various levels of abs and TC intervention if that makes sense.

The throttle response is the same in sport and track and also in rider if you select that option.

There are 5 rider modes, but only 3 power maps which are used within the 5 rider modes. I.e some rider modes have the same power map as explained above.

I presume that's a track screen. I prefer a more standard rev counter rather than numbers.

Yes I think that is a track screen. Will have to look at mine again as it has a style 2 mode with different screens. Looks similar to one of those but not sure it shows the Revs change in single digits as the video does.

D6 will know but I'm pretty sure that screen option is available on the speed triple RS as the salesman set it up in that for my test ride, but I didnt like it and changed back to another option.

Yep....it's like the hands on a clock...you can "see" what time it is, instead of reading what time it is.

That dash layout above must be a track mode. Miine has one that's similar but not the same. The one in the video shows rpm in the centre but the version on mine shows mph as the main focus..

Been out for what will probably the last thrash for this season. Still reckon this is probably the most fun and exhilarating bike that money can buy.
