Ahh shoot. Don't go doing that - it's daft and expensive :(

The Medics were young guys and hadn’t been at the track before. They were gently dabbing my wound with cotton buds to clean it. I’ve had enough crashes on mtb bikes, motorbikes, skateboards and the like in my life to know you need to give a wound a good clean. So I asked where the nail brush and sink was and proceeded to show them how to clean a track wound properly. They went a little white (lol). It bloody hurts but beats weeks of infection.

It was a good hit, only time I’ve lost consciousness, albeit briefly. The vomiting when I got home indicated I probably was still in some level of shock. I haven’t been to a track since, not due to the crash but the fact I separated from the ex 4 days later and became a single dad and can’t manage a full day at the track and get the kids to and from school or afford to wipe myself out.

Still took me 2 years to part with the track bike.

I made that mistake in a homemade go-karting accident as a kid. Ended up having to have my knee drained, large dead bits cut off and a proper scrubbing with iodine. Couldn't bend it for 6 weeks.

Thanks for your opinions guys, seems it was evenly split.

At the time of the post I had the option on a new bike and they had one in each colour. They were silly cheap and went in a few hours and I missed them so in the end I didnt have the choice.

I have found a very nice Triumph approved used bike with a great spec in white and I'm happy with that (lol) Hope to collect next week.

66 plate with 3k on the clock in white.

From memory extras are Arrow exhaust, tail tidy, crash protectors, radiator guard, pazzo levers and maybe a few other little bits but that's what I can remember.

Fishing line behind it should remove it. Warm the glue first with a hairdryer.
