They are. I was twice very close to buying one. The delayed house move cocked things up.

Yep. I am. It was the delay of the move, not the location of my abode which was the issue.

It was Sutton Motorcycles new demo bike. 39 miles on the clock.

Unfortunately i was restricted to road mode as a result but still....light, flickable and that engine is a peach. So tractable in any gear, almost like the 1050 engine. But it still feels very much like a sportsbike. An i do like the airbox howl as you spin the motor up.

I would like to try one again when I can try the other modes and also would like to try the R model at the same time, as i know the engines are quite different. This RS does need lots of revs to get a move on...or it did in Road mode anyway.

The RS does have lots of nice bling for the extra money - better suspension ( not too harsh at all as i was expecting), black levers :D , q/s, Rosso Corsa tyres, pillion seat cover, RACE mode. I didn't like the satin black paint though, its too bland for my liking.

Definitely a fantastic bike and if i am at a point late in the year (and its a big IF at the moment) i would certainly consider adding one to the garage.

I was considering changing the Multi for the new one as mine is three years old in July, but for the cost to change i could almost have another bike. And i do actually prefer my 1200 to the 1260 version. The new one has lost a bit of its edge.

Your welcome to test mine whenever.

Black levers are overated anyway. :D

I went for the R as it's torque curve is better on the road and the colours are better imo.

Does Road mode restrict the power? There is a track mode on the RS too. I did wonder whether power was restricted before the first service.

I was only out for about half an hour but it was a great fun bike, that also has a more practical side to it too. Great for the twisty roads round there.

Cheers, Cookie. I am in no rush to do anything, I suspect this Summer is going to be very disrupted by MiL's illness but days like today and trying something new and giving me future ideas keeps me on the right side of sanity. :D

White would be my choice. 8)

Track mode used to be user own setting but they may have changed it.

I don't think the power is reduced in road mode, but the delivery is slower and the torque setting is different.

I'm over at Sutton Honda a week on Saturday in the morning for a couple of hours having the wheels done on the AT. Let me know if you want to join me and I'll get Rich to sort us out a couple of bikes.

I think we are likely to be away next weekend, at least that is the current plan, but everything has to be quite fluid at the moment.

Shame as i suspect they were prepping an R demo bike too. It would have been good to try both side by side on the same roads.

I'll let you know if anything changes.

Not cheap but the MotoGP technology is now becoming affordable even for main stream bikes.

I'm toying with a new can but i dont want to piss about with retuning or a power commander tbh. The fuelling is really good on the stock bike.

Do Arrow have a factory approved slip on option Cookie?

My 675 has the offical triumph arrow slip on and it retains the OEM exhaust valve and cat.
