Samco / Silicone Hoses
I've searched the forum but can't find all that much info.
My radiator is done for so when I get a replacement I figured I'd replace the hoses. OEM hoses are more than £150 so figured I'd probably get SAMCO or another silicone hose.
So far I've found this is the only option besides SAMCO but for half the price it worries me - should it?

Also, I don't know whether to go for Green or Black

Agree with Kwacky. With how hard you are pushing your bike on track I don’t think it’s worth the risk of a ruined trackday.

Re: Samco / Silicone Hoses
I looked at those Cav but a friend told me he had tried them and they were poor quality so I went with Samco for an extra 40 quid.
If you did want a set you could ask for a sample and take a look at them yourself.
As for colour of Hose. Only one choice on a Kwacker and you don't need me to tell you which that is

Re: Samco / Silicone Hoses
Hadn't thought about the sample thing..
For my bike the SAMCO is double the cost of the AS3 hoses but still cheaper than OEM.
The guy I'm buying the radiator from has some SAMCO hoses so I'm asking for photos etc to gauge for any damage. If undamaged I'll probably get those if I can get them for under £50

Hoses are cheaper than engines, even pukka Samco ones.
As for colour? It’s a Kwack - has to be green, no contest.

Re: Samco / Silicone Hoses
Personally Cav I wouldn't spend money on a product that could cause you headache or worse. Would you really be happy if you had a incident but you saved a few quid. Wait, save up for a bit and get the better quaility Samco, new. You don't want your bike pissing itself mid corner when you have you knee and elbow sliding across the ground
Regarding colour I would say green but just thought your bike is green and to be honest that potentially may look too much green (see when I saw green so much you realise green maybe there too much ) be brave, rewrite the book and go red

Re: Samco / Silicone Hoses
I remember when I ordered mine they had a camouflage color option. I'd love to know just how much crystal-meth the people at Samco had been snorting when they came up with that idea.

Just took a look at the votes. Who would buy aftermarket part and buy it the same colour as standard

Re: Samco / Silicone Hoses
Depends on whether you want the bike to look better (debatable), or just work better, I suppose.Rossgo wrote:Just took a look at the votes. Who would buy aftermarket part and buy it the same colour as standard

But TBH, I'm pretty sure I either ordered or bought the blue Samcos, but when they came they were a garishly bright blue, so I "saved them" for the wife's bike & reordered black. Seems to ring a bell.
