I want to go there too. That road was about as good as it gets. The scenery was unbelievable.

Went there every year for a few years. But not last 4.... However I'm off there this August. The susten is one of many. The whole area is riddles with passes that will blow your bike riding minds. There is nowhere else like it imo.

If you like lots of corners and great scenery then the Coromandel Peninsula in NZ is a great ride

Looks a great spot for a base camp for a few days to explore the area (y)

Does anybody think that if they lived on a highway like that, they'd get bored with riding it at some point...it would just be "the way home"????

A lot of these popular passes are clogged up with tourists and cyclists.

I live up a mountain and while the road up to my house isn’t quite the Susten Pass it’s a favourite with bikers over the weekend. There’s a small section of tight corners up the steepest part that I hit like I’m on the track every time on the bike. I never get sick of it... nearly 9 yrs up there now
