Cool Kwacky. I've booked those 2 days off last night and I am very keen on using one of those days for a biking day to Wales!

I may reuse the route I've made and reuse the meeting points from this ride to the July one.

If i can ill try getting over there to run the route before July to see if it's any good. Just need a good amount of weather and the time of during that weather lol!

I can't do those dates unfortunately Rossgo. Are they set in stone or any flexibility? If it's not set in stone, is a day of week commencing 1st July any good? I could do any day that week and would be good to meet up.

If not, obviously do your own thing. Would be good to see people but don't want to hijack Rossgos thread so just a suggestion.

Blade

Funny you should mention that week. That's through my 4 days off. So think its tues 2nd and wed 3rd July are my middle of the 4 days off. Wednesday 3rd July prob be the optimal time as that's the day after the day of being a zombie and it's the day after my lay in and it's the day before the day I have to go back to work

However I told one of my mates and he said as I got 2 days off is it a night stop over thing. I'm in 2 minds of what to do after he mentioned that lol.

Short answer is I'm unsure exactly what to do but I want to do something on the bike either week i dont mind. If people could fit around either time that is?

3rd of July is good for me Rossgo and would be good to see you and hopefully a few other slappers if that date suits the majority of people interested.

No worries.

If it's A I can't make it. I have to be home in the afternoon as my wife has been asked to work tomorrow. I have to be back about 12.30 to take my daughter to dance.

If it's B I'll meet you for breakfast. Just let me know what time. Lucy's opens from 9 now.

What what if we postponed Wales until Sat 20th April.

Would that work for anyone here?

The roads might be a bit busy.

Yes it is Easter. Maybe a bit busy and maybe no-one can make it due to Easter but it's a Saturday and potential to get a few people I'm unsure. I have also made one for the 3rd July

I am going for option B. Weather is looking a bit cold and also raining all day in crossgates so that's one of the nicest pieces of road and won't be fun in rain!

Lucy's Tea Room

Meet at Calcot Sainsbury's at 7AM leaving 0715

Address

Bath Road Calcot, Reading
RG31 7SA

Will be using 2nd man drop off system

Roads I do not know it will be all sat nav I haven't had time to look up a decent route

Should be at Lucy's for approx 0930

@D6Nutz what roads do you use to get to Stow?

This is the regular route I use with Frankie. It looks quite complicated on a map, but trust me it's not it's really easy to follow. Oh, and it won't take you and hour and a half either, I think I've done it in under an hour (blush) (blush)

The only tip is to check the map carefully at Steventon, it's a double junction and you want the second turning. Also the road from Steventon to East Hanney is sometimes a bit mucky.
