The last owner loved his stickers.

The bike came with an aftermarket can. I think it's a GPR but I'm not sure.

Anyway, the muppet put a fake akra sticker on it which had melted.

I've tried to get what I can off the can. I've used some Nevr-Dull and got most of it off but there's a mark on the can which is more than surface deep.

I presume there was an original sticker on the can which he's removed to put the fake akra sticker on. That's left a polished mark which I can't get rid off unless I polish the whole can to the same level

Try dulling it down with some very fine micromesh

I can see it, but in all honesty only because you told me. If it was my exhaust I would probably see it because I'd know it's there.....my eyes would go to it like a magnet.

Other option is ask GPR for a replacement heat proof sticker to cover it up.

Or maybe you know someone who runs a bike-based website, who could possibly cover the area with some sort of site-related decal?

The Tankslap ones aren't heatproof.

Yeah....I was joking. I'd put one on the wife's Speed Four and it shriveled up immediately....aluminum can. Tried one on the CF can I had and it lasted for a while, but ended up looking like a curly-fry.

Start with the very fine stuff in a non conspicuous position and see what you think.

Other option is heat proof decal and plenty of them on eBay.

A mate who was in the RAF told me about it years ago.

Apparently he used it to remove scratches from the canopy of Tonardo cockpits so you can imagine how fine it's gets. You don't want reduced visibility due to unsightly scratches in a fighter jet after all.

It looks brand new. The tyres are starting to square off so I'm going to have to get some new ones but there's no rush, I'm going to have to get used to the bike first.

It's tiny. It's smaller than my zx6r and I reckon it's smaller than a Daytona 675,

I may have acquired some of the same stuff from my Air Force days, think the finest stuff I have is 15 micron.

That was a mind numbing job polishing scratches out, you could spent 4-5 days on a single seat canopy during a depot level servicing.

5 days?? Damn....I don't mind polishing & working on paint like that - I think it's sort of therapeutic.....but 5 days...that's some level of patience.
Then again, I wasn't getting paid to do it.

Those plastic fluid reservoirs will have to go.
