Kwackys MV Agusta F3 800 ongoing review

Post by Kwacky »

I guess it's time for a new thread.

I've ordered an indoor cover for it.

I'm going to get a tracker fitted as soon as I can. I've been in touch with https://www.bikealarmman.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The lightech bar ends look good.

I'm not sure what else I'll get until the bike arrives.

It's booked for the 28th. I've got to take the Versys in for a service so I thought sod it, I'll take the day off, get the Versys to the dealer, get the MV delivered and see if Andy the Alarm Man can come round in the afternoon to fit the tracker. A lot depends on what time they can get the MV to me.

So what security have you got coming for it?

19mm chain?
Sentry guns?
Armed guard?

It's a really quiet area where I live. Most houses have CCTV and there's an active neighbourhood watch. The worst crime I've heard of is a bloke coming by once a week for a few weeks checking car doors to see if there's anything inside the cars. I've not heard of any thefts at all.

But there's no harm in taking precautions. I've got good quality locks and chains so I might as well use them.

Talking of which I've just ordered a Xena XX14 alarmed disc lock for it. I need to get into the habit of taking the lock with me when I go out on the bike.

The Versys has got an alarm so I'm just used to pressing the fob and walking away from the bike.

That's the only thing I put in my underseat storage on the Ninja... a disc lock.

I'd keep my ID and bank card in my leathers, disc lock in the seat

The dealer has just sent me a couple of photos of the bike being serviced and the new battery being fitted.

There's next to bugger all space under the plastics. It looks like a real bitch to work on.
