There's about 4 times the number of 959s for sale than the 899. The prices are getting loser as well. I was going to wait for Spring but if there's a deal to be had I might pounce now.

:D

I'm still looking at other models.

There are next to no used Euro 4 model Brutale 800rr and if they do come up for sale they're expensive. I would be better off with a new one.

Same for the F3 800.

I've seen a couple of tidy Street Triple RS go up for sale but they seem to be holding their prices as well.

Do MV have good back up and servicing as they certainly look fantastic especially the F800?

You ve had a ST3. You not fancy something different ?

MV are improving. The build quality is very good and they offer a longer warranty than most other bike manufacturers. I think they're going through what Ducati had to do - shake off the old view about them having dodgy electrics and poor back up. That said the MV's PB Mag have had going pop hasn't helped.

I like the F800 RC. Which I think I why I liked that white 959 I posted, the one with the decals. It's like a reverse image of the MV.

The Street triple was great fun and the 765 is a big step up from the 675. I do like naked bikes. I had a riot on the 765RS despite the bad weather on the test ride.

Spoilt for choice mate (y)

I'm biased to the Ducati option but obviously nothing to do with me.

The MV F800 is stunning and a truly special bike.

765RS great bike, it really is, but not special imo. If it's a 3rd bike it should be special 8)

The Ducatis are the only ones I've not tried. Trying to fit in the time to take one out, finding a dealer that will let you and having the decent enough weather are all going against me at present.

The other thing to point out is that I'm flexible about ownership of the third bike. So I might end up getting a triumph now, swapping for an MV next year and so on. I'm not getting any younger, I know I can't ride sportsbikes for ever so I may as well sample them all while I can.

The Versys will be run until it falls apart and the Honda I'll keep until I can't swing my leg over it.

If you buy a third bike, will you ride all three....or will one simply become redundant...??

Versys - everyday bike for work.
ATAS - Touring and two up stuff (my wife wants to start coming out again)
Sportsbike - weekends and the occasional track day.

All 3 will cover for each other, so any of them could be used for commuting, ride outs, breakfast meets etc (but not track days).

The sportsbike will probably be dry weather only so it'll disappear in winter. I suspect I'll not use the Honda that much in terms of journeys on it but it'll be doing the mileage. It's already got 2,000 miles on the clock.

Low mileage and a good price too (y)

Nice extras, the ones I would be looking at.

It's on the watch list. Cheers.

Has the options listed in the ad but also engine covers and triumph crash protectors that they forgot to mention and worthwhile having.

A lot of good bling on that bike and good service history.

Yeah, I clocked those. I had the same frame protectors on the ST3. They're very well made.

Who is this methodical, thoughtful, careful person who has hacked Kwackys account.
