First service done.

Despite only doing a few hundred miles on the Honda I do feel at home on it straight away.

Understandable, especially when you've got the weight of a shall aircraft carrier on it...

It's easier to pick up Thor's hammer than to take it off the main stand.

So there's 900 miles on the clock.

It's true what they say, you can't beat time in the saddle. I'm getting more confident with the bike. Filtering is a doddle now I'm used to the size of the bike.

It'll never be sharp steering but I'm able to chuck it about between cars. I'm not as cautious on sharp slow bends, although the 21 inch front wheel and tall front forks will always make the front feel vague.

Riding style has to change. I need to remind myself to use the front brake less. The rear brake is pretty strong and the bike is more settled braking that way.

Fuel economy is about 54mpg commuting, which isn't bad considering the weight of the bike and the constant stop/start and change of revs moving through the traffic. I need to do a decent ride on it to see what it's like on open roads over distance.

I've decided I don't like the dull finish on the sump guard. I tried a test area with some polish and it looks better. So I went for a larger test area :)

I need to take it off at some point to give it a polish and get it looking shiny. At the moment it's got a large clean looking circle on it. (wasntme) I'll finish it off at the weekend.

I'd love to see how you manage to keep that polished look lol.. I did on my tiger bash guard and ended up giving in and let the "dull" finish look after itself Image

But to be fair, you used your Tiger all the time, all year round and on a range of surfaces. My bike will be a bit more pampered.
