So after fixing the fuel issue I headed into town to do the registration change over. 28 deg, sunny, light breeze. Perfect day to be out on it. Did about 60 km all up and getting the feel for it now. You can chuck it about a lot better than I expected. Was still heaps of fun up my hill without doing licence shredding speeds. The back end bounces around mid corner if it hits a bump but still goes where you point it. By no means does it pull your arms out of their sockets but it’ll build speed surely and steadily and with the wooden brakes in the back of your mind makes you engage in the ride in a way I never do with the Multi.

I was hoping I’d enjoy this style of bike, and I love it. It’s not a do everything bike but it slots in quite nicely at the other end of the spectrum to my Multi and fulfills it’s purpose just right.

It’s a piece of cake to man handle in town at slow speeds and into parking spots etc, where the Multi is a lump in that regard. This will definitely be my popping into town bike.

:) Brilliant result.! ( -the straightforward repair as well, but mainly your satisfaction with what you've got ).

Next for the full beard & Buddy Holly style glasses.? (giggle)

Reminds me of the Versys. The crap brakes mean you plan your ride much further ahead. As a result you have a lot more faith in the steering so you end up throwing the bike about a lot more than usual.

Mate I’d be dead before I could grow a full beard! Plus I have to be clean shaven for work (requirement for Breathing Apparatus use) so nope won’t be going full hipster. Still ATGATT regardless of the bike
