It is a much more relaxed way of life. I can see why it is so attractive to so many people. Which is why I'm so disappointed that too many people want to distance our country from mainland Europe. It's not perfect, nothing can be, but it's certainly much better than what this country is facing

I dont agree that their relaxed style means anything to us British. It's nice to see it but it will never happen in Britain. The two aren't related. Britain we will never have that style, if anything we are getting worse and worse. We have too many people too have a relaxed feel, we work too much, get paid too little and our house prices are stupidly high. Me and my partner looked at homes here we could get a nice home whereas in Britain we got laughed at when we asked for a mortage (literally no word of a lie either ).

Shame we won't take a chill pill to be honest!!

Doesn't England have 3 or 4 times the population per square mile than France??

I think France is the 2nd biggest country in Europe.

Unsure about population but i did see something that we believe our population will be approx 77 million people in the UK alone soon maybe 2025? Crazy, unsure how we can support that many people

We'll manage.

We'll "adapt & overcome", etc.....this is why the human race is flourishing at such an exponential pace.

More total fcuking morons to look forward to, I suppose.

You say morons but its gone past that stage. We are complete **** ups. Regardless of intelligence levels, we have people who are technically geniuses and yet we destroy the world. The sooner we are gone the better

Nope it's the whole of the human race. We want to think of ourselves as mini gods on this earth purely because we can speak and think, but we are the crueliest, sickest and most dumbest on it. It prob offends a huge amount of people but facts don't lie regardless of how much money we make or how big our land is etc. We all drive or ride, we all use electric, we create waste on an epic proportion. We kill for sport or to keep certain creatures at a reasonable level for our areas eg farms, we fish on a huge scale and yet kill whales and other fish that we arent fishing for and Chuck away the ones we dont want. We survive off greed, certain people profit from it, entire continents are literally unable to rub 2 stones together and yet we have leaders of these countries able to fly around in private jets, dine in only the best restaurants in the world. We test on animals, unsure about you but when was the last time you saw a lion test make up on a giraffe?!

It's only a matter of time until we create a new race that is better than us and will 'know' the answers to 'our' created problems.

You tell me where I'm just speaking for myself?!

It doesn't read well Rossgo but we aren't the only species to behave like this.

Killer Wales will kill for fun and not food.

Pack animals will fight rival packs to the death for territory.

Lions will kill males cub to stop them becoming rivals to their kingdom.

Chimpanzee can be extremely violent and cannibalistic.

Not saying any of it is right but the world is full of good and bad. The important bit is the balance weighs in the good corner.

Dont disagree with you there blade. It really makes me wonder though when we create the ultimate tech. The tech that thinks for its self, when we get that, what use are we? It's only a matter of time i guess!!

Thinks for itself?

It can't happen.....the best most advanced tech could only ever reflect whatever is programmed into it.
It can't "feel".....can never be happy or sad, etc.

I can see it happening D. Our tech has moved on a huge amount in the last 100 years. Give it another 100 years and see where we are.

Try 10 years. There's enough software already in use with decision making in place. Self aware machines aren't too far away.
