Yet another bike ...

Yes I have bought another bike. After swapping and changing my track bike around I tried to live with the 675 on the road it just was not for me. I find riding a 1000cc on the road a lot easier. A freind was selling his old bike which suited my budget so the deal was done. The icing on the cake though he was visiting a mutual freind in Scotland so I asked if he could bring the bike up and we go together. So I had 3 days riding round some fantastic roads in glorious sunshine getting warmed up to my new bike. And i think we have geld I'm going to do a few mods to it.

Large screen. Ordered
Heavier bar ends as theres a slight vibration through the bars.
Modding the seat as its hard a moon rock.

It is a pretty bike. It has plenty of go. Currently 2 teeth down on the front which is a bit wild so going to change it to 1 tooth down. Plan on sticking with this for a while so will be some mods thrown at it over time.

How do you find heavier bar ends, what bar ends you got on it at the moment?

Will you be using on track as well? I take it that's Craig's bike he was using on track?

Bar ends that are small so just going to pick out some thing that looks like it has a decent weight to it.

The seat pad does not have much padding so will be getting some treatment. As ive bought this to do some miles on it.

Dont think i will use it on track. Yep it was Craigs bike having been around it i knew it was in good condition so jumped at the chance at buying it.

Got a tail tidy through the post and got it fitted. Was a bit dubious when ordering it but nicely surprised when it came through came with connectors instructions nice little kit and it was all done by someone not a company did not expect it I was just thinking I would get a bracket in a bag

Done a few mods to the bike.
Got the heavier bar ends.
Changed the gearing. When I got it , it had 2 teeth lower front sprocket. So I have changed it to 1 lower than standard.

Rode it to Cadwell to see some friends on a track day. Bar ends have taken a lot of the small vibration out of the bars.

The sprocket change has made the bike so much smoother. It was way to aggressive with 2 teeth lower on the front. It actually feels faster now but I think that's because it's easier to meter in the throttle.

Also adjusted the rebound on the suspension it was very bouncy over any bumps in the road so soften off the rebound by a few clicks. It definitely feels more compliant over ruff road surfaces. Just need take it on some local roads to make sure it's still ok when pushing on.
