So just pricing this all up just in case an opportunity arises.

Does a set of tyres last all three days and if so what are people using?

I would get 2 or 3 sets of scrubs Duke.

Probably similar money to 1 new pair and you can get track specific compounds and have a fresh set each day.

1 set should do you even at my pace i struggle to get through 2. But if you really want to be safe get an extra rear. Buy new buy specific track tyres best you can get. reason you pay alot to go and don't want any worries about tyres and you want the best time holiday you can get.

Conti endurance tyres are very good and would last and have loads of grip and can be used safely with out warmers. Taking 3 sets of srubs you will prob get charged by the company for taking to many tyres in the sitllage and room is tight.

however this is only my opinion and everyone's different

Who you looking at going with ??

1 rear if you use an endurance Dunlop

1 rear per day if you use Pirelli

Thinking about going with Ducati Coventry on one of their trips. They usually do one early in the year and one late in the year.

Would prefer tyres that don’t need warmers as I am not fast enough to justify them.

I dont know as i've never been on one but surely a set of Supercorsas would do? I guess proper slicks would need warmers and are stiffer?

What Rocket says makes a lot of sense, I totally agree. If you have a new set of rubber from day one, that will last you three days, possibly a take a rear with you. I use the endurance tyres, they are more than enough for a sunny & hot track day. Tyres warmers are good for 1st thing, after that I tend to leave the bike in the pit lane just outside the door, the sun keeps them warm. Saying that a lap and they are warmed up.

I am just at the looking at cost stage at the moment. As Frankie and Rocket said, I would hate to spend cash on the time away and not factor in the cost of decent tyres.

I really enjoyed the two Ducati days I have done and like the environment of riding, enjoying and learning without any pressure. It seems the Euro days are more like this. I have also thought that the Rosso 3 tyres fitted to the 853, whilst adequate for track use, they are more suited to road than track. I have felt that a little more grip would be useful and that I could use it.

Will price up the Conti endurance tyres when I get the Multi rear changed tomorrow.

Yep.

The only reason I use tyre warmers is to reduce the number of heat cycles of my tyres therefore keeping grip levels very level through the days.

Also you don't need tyre warmers for slicks any more than you do for treaded.. you just need to take a little more caution.

I would definitely recommend the Dunlop D212 (and I've heard the D213 is even better somehow!)

Please keep us updated with what you decide ans also after you use them how you feel they performed for your style of riding. Im interested to hear to be honest. Keep sayong i want a euro track weekend but money always holds me back lol

What Cav said about tyre warmers. Regardless of your speed tyres warm up, so tyre warmers are good for safety in that first lap even if you still take it cautious. And you are well fast enough from what I’ve picked up on the forum. Also the point of the heat cycles is the main reason I used them on the track bike as track specific tyres don’t like heaps of heat cycles.

The Dunlop’s 211/212/213 from memory are a different construction and use lower pressures. Which is all fine except would require a different suspension setup. So unless you are going to stick to them I’d steer clear.

Im with Cav with the D212's they are a great tyre, though they do use quite low pressures . I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
