Thruxton has an airfield in the middle of it too , so not sure if the restrictions are entirely down to noise .
Noise restrictions at Donington however are ludicrous as East Midlands Airport is literally the other side of the road , I have seen them pause static noise testing to wait for a plane to land it is ridiculous .

If any of you want to cough up the money to overturn 60 years of established tort law in the field of nuisance I'll gladly take the case on for you (giggle)

To be honest the majority of the bikes there yesterday were not that noisey. The V4 with standard cans almost whirs by. There was one V4 with the race exhaust that made some noise, all the Desmos did and a very few of the Panigales who had full race systems on.

It really bugs me that people moan about noise from noisy environments. No point for them to moan its their fault for moving there.

Life isn't that simple though is it?

To have a circuit, you need staff to run it which means there has to be a community around it. Which means people need to live nearby. Which means you have to respect those people need an environment in which they can live.

Otherwise no one will live there.

Which means no circuit.

Interesting point. Personally i would say where theres work, people will travel so a community isn't needed right by the track. What is needed by the track is a nice big (FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE) FUEL STATION!!!! What its more about is running out of space and more and more people are wanting flats or houses so having to build next to places like this. Shame really, so many massive houses around here are being demolished and 10 little houses are being built or blocks of flats replacing lovely old homes thats been around since Victorian times.

A track with no community would not last 5 minutes. I don't think there is sufficient usage to make them work.

Silverstone, Donington, Mallory, Snetterton all have had to bring businesses in to make the tracks viable. How many on here do more than 3 trackdays each year?

If they buy a home around the track they should have some sort of legal contract to say they will keep stum on any noise related issues. Its lile buying a house next to a football stadium then moaning about the firms having a good bust up outside with screaming and shouting. Dont buy near somewhere they will hate!
