Re: Bike Insurance
That's cities. Although they've cheated as they've included Greater London but only done Manchester, not greater Manchester.

Everyday is a school day
Thought the figures were odd when Sheffield and Bradford had bigger populations than Manchester.

Re: Bike Insurance
I was at 6 NCB for the bike, IAM certificate, named on other policies, 2 years in a car etc. It helps that I live in a pretty decent area too but it's still high in terms of theftsFireball wrote:Thats very cheap.Cav wrote:As a reference, my car is a 130bhp Audi A4 (£580 I think) and the bike is an 09 ZX6R (£320).. both fully comp, car insured for 20k miles. Legal cover on both policies

I have an SK post code too and technically without sounding a complete nob, and stated purely for insurance comparsion / premiums only, I live in Cheshire rather than Greater Manchester. But saying that vehicle crime and burglary are statically high in the area according to police and government figures.
Not a dick measuring competition but for comparison I pay less than a 3rd of what your insurance premiums are for higher performance and higher value assets that's why imo yiur quotes are expensive.
Take it or leave it but my advice would be shop around as those premiums are high.

Re: Bike Insurance
Will the bike be in a garage? That makes a massive difference.
As does declared annual mileage.
I just have to accept I'm going to pay for the fact I don't have a garage and I rack up the miles. Plus the two bike thefts near me in the last 12 months won't help.

Yes the bike will be kept in garage over night. I guess Carol Nash is a big name hence being expensive.Kwacky wrote:Will the bike be in a garage? That makes a massive difference.

Re: Bike Insurance
Everyone gets different quotes, my misses has a 200BHP hot hatch and i have a 1.0lt run about and she pays less than me for insurances even though we live in the same house. I would suggest mate that you grow some tits, lop off the willy and and change your name to Lisa

Re: Bike Insurance
Strange isn't it......actually almost like their making it up as Im thr exact opposite.
Missus drives a 2 litre msport and I drive a 3.8 litre performance car which is worth more and yet I still pay less than her.
We both have clean licences, max ncb, live in the same house and are the same age.

Re: Bike Insurance
I hate insurance companies, they need to sort it out so its fair. Regardless of gender split the cost and we will all be better off and wont ger stitched up from year to year. Realy winds me, why can't the government set out new laws in this type of thing. Also have a lower insurance cover which everyone can afford just to stop non insured drivers to say they cant afford it. Help out people who genuinely arent law breakers by heart but do it out of necessity.
