I would go for the newer bike because the warranty is nice to have, although on my 2013 STR I never used it, and also I have had a 13+ STR so the new version would be different enough to not be repeating myself and have the more modern electronics.

There's not a 2 grand gap now between used 765s and the last of the 675s. Everyone thought the new 765 would kill the price of the used 675 but that hasn't been the case yet. It might be in a couple of years when there are more used 765s on the market. Who knows?

But IMO you should never buy a bike thinking what it's going to be worth when you sell it. Just enjoy the thing.

And yes, they are great looking bikes..
