kiwikrasher wrote:Oh and Sir Thingy (I think D6 has coined you a new nickname (lol) ) hi, think I’ve missed saying so!

I’m in Australia so you’ll see me posting at the wrong end of the day due to time zone differences. Unless I’m on night shifts and it’s quiet.

Nice to have a new member and like the concept you run of back to basics, carbs, no fancy electronics etc with the FJ. I have fond memories of using a choke and reserve tap (nah, not really (lol) )
I feel vaguely envious of you living out there after hearing our daughter's tales, she backpacked both the east and west coasts, took about 2,5 yrs over it and ended up in margaret river picking grapes/working in seaside restuarants/bars.

on basics, my friend, motorbike andy who lives in suffolk uk, bought a new kwak 650 (?) twin ninja that complies with the latest (euro 6?) emissions and said it was horribly jerky to ride round town because the fueling is so lean, he can't get ready access to anything on that bike, No choke that you can pull or plugs you can easily take out and check. no matey, old school for me :)

well i hope that there is nobody there who you know from your mcn days in a negative way but i don't think so as these are ones who posted in a civilsed way. funnily enough i got on with the most vilified bloke who i think had slept with somebody else's girlfriend at one point, hence all the abuse that a couple of others then joined in with. what a carry on.

The thing about the tankslap initiation is that you don't know if there's a tankslap initiation.

Not until it starts (devil)

Having known a fair few of you guys for over 10 years now, I feel I can finally come out.

I’m not really that fussed about cake!

There, I’ve said it!

Moi aussi.....I like it, but if I get one I'll mow through the whole thing in about 15 seconds, so I tend to stay away.
