I’ll second your comments about HH Cav, I put them on my Tiger following a calliper overhaul, if I hadn’t binned the old pads I’d have stuck them back in, not much initial bite and no real power, I know I was stopping 230kg of bike but I expected better.

I'm glad it isn't just me.. some people swear by them and I have no idea why!

Get me some Brembo SC pads for the road any time !!! (Not personally experienced the SBS RS though I really want to!!)

Yep I was not impressed with EBC HH pads either. Cheap for a reason was my conclusion.

I thought it was just me, I had the EPFA's in the MT-10 and they were an improvement on the OEM pads but not mind blowing.

That's interesting about the HH pad I didn't mind them.

Well I'm really glad to hear this to be honest can't wait to use the SBS RS.

Arrived yesterday.. SBS RS fronts and EBC HH rear - anything will be better than OEM rears!!Image

I bedded in my new pads (SBS RS and the rear EBC HH pads) over the B/H weekend

The SBS RS doesn't feel that different to the Brembo OEM at slow speeds (30 or 40MPH) However it blinking feels different when you are going close to *cough cough cough* speed while on private roads. Completely different animal. Powerful and seem to slow you down quickly, almost feeling like they throw you out of your seat, really feel that lovely G Force.

Want to test out the Bendix MRR - This will be my next pad

Glad you like them Rossgo!! Do they work out cheaper than the OEM Brembo?

I've done exactly what you've done in terms of back to back comparison but with the track-only SBS DC VS Bendix MCR.

I did 2 days with the DC at Catalunya and the last day on the MCR. I've then used the MCR in Porto for 2.5 days and have SBS DCs to go back in there so I can do a back-to-back-to-back test.

It's a good question

I don't quite know for the OEM pads - can't find them online so guess I would have to go through a specialist or dealership. They were ok don't get me wrong but not what i was after.
To be honest though I wouldn't buy the OEM pads anyway.

The RS was approx £31 per caliper so not too bad but if I was going to go for the Brembo SA or SC pads they are £40 or £70 And I dont fancy forking out that amount

The track pads are blinking pricy!! I hope you find which ones you prefer. Are you leaning towards one of those yet?

I cant remember.. do you still have the same ZX6R as I do?

I always get the track pads because I haven't ridden on the road for years and the track stuff performs better and last longer. I loved the SBS DC but I feel like the Bendix are slightly better.

I also loved the Brembo SC pads I had years ago, probably more than I like the SBS DC, however, they lasted less than 2 track days and were more expensive despite being a lesser pad

No I dont have the ZX6R anymore matey althiugh that was very fun when I'm the rev range but felt there was nothing lower down so changed it for something a bit more grunty but had a fun top end too!

Yea that makes sense. I do see you don't get out on road that often but to be honest you have had a lot on do that's fair enough, plus track is fun and less likely to loose your license lol!

Bendix - they seem to have the thumbs up across the board here. Defo want to give the MRR a try.

I dont really go for shelf life I'd rather buy pads that lasted a season of road miles eg 5k miles than a pad that just carries on and on. The OEM Brembo I think were the orginals, so that's 10k miles and they were 1/2 - 3/4 through their life.

I was really considering the SC pad , the SA pad (red backing) were very good but expensive so I'd guess the SC pad were a step up

The SC pads are VERY good, but I'm sure you wouldn't notice much difference between them and the SBS RS or Bendix MRR.

The only reason life comes into it for me is the SC pads are over £120/front end on my bike.. I paid £70/front end for the SBS DC

Can fully understand saving that sort of dosh. I wouldn't want to be spending over the odds either! I would still like to try out all these pads and see which one suits. I dont mind if the pads wear down quickly to be honest e.g. 5-6k miles that's fine with me as long as they are good bite
