Brake Pad Info

Wierdly this is one of my things to do today. I'm getting some MRR's as the OEM Triumph dont bite well - especially the rear brake. The OEM's will go in the cupboard in case of a problem, always useful to have a spare set your not bothered about.

While we are at it - best places to buy them?

Cav yea I dont mean the PayPal part to be honest. Just don't like having my name involved with bikes now to be honest. I'm scarred for life I think! But may ask my misses to post them up on FB and see if we get any takers. Their still good pads at end of day jist not for me

I've used both Rossgo and both are good but I would probably give the Bendix the edge.

What was the main difference in your opinion eg why was that Bendix better?

As long as these SBS RS are better than the OEM Brembo pads then I'm happy but not that they are bad they just need a bit of working. I've had Brembo SA (I think - Red backing to them) and they were sharp scarily sharp and I loved that and had to relearn how to use them but was great. Had them twice now in 2 diff bikes. Then EBC HH pads which were powerful in a different sense, not sharp but mightly powerful..loved that too

Only small differences tbh Rossgo but more initial bite and probably slightly shorter stopping distance. Definitely on par with the much more expensive Brembo RC pads imo. Good feel too.

SBS RS is a great pad. Has the edge on the Brembo RC in my opinion.

SBS RS is a very good pad Rossgo. Just my perosnal opinion thr Bendiz MRR is slightly better but it's not by much. I'm sure you will notice an improvement with the RS over the OEM pads.

Hmmm maybe I should send them back and order the Bendix for the fronts. I'll decide mid week i think. Both sound good but I do like the intial bite

I love the initial bite of the DP Sport pads that i fitted to the GT, much better than the standard Brembo pads.

I had my first experience of EBC GPFAX pads on my mates BMW and was left underwhelmed overall.

Obviously... I'm comparing completely different bikes and setups (the only similarity to my setup is the RCS 19 Master cylinder) and his discs are buggered (horrible vibrations at any braking pressures).

My takeaway from the experience was "power without feel". Bear in mind I was running probably 6-10 seconds slower than my usual pace and taking braking easier, there was power but I really had to squeeze that lever. There was plenty of finesse and absolutely no sign of fade at pace suited to the bottom of Fast group.

I wasn't impressed anyway, I won't be rushing to try the GPFAX on my bike and it kinda confirms my experience of EBC IMO; the HH is a terrible pad worse than any OEM pad I've tried.
