I read sommit years ago....put the lube on immediately after a ride while the chain is still warm/hottish.....lets the lube 'bake' onto the chain a bit to prevent fling.

I don't have a 'link' for it, unfortunately....../

That's common advice. But you're putting lube on a dirty chain.

I tend to clean my bike at the weekend, so the lube has until Monday to work its magic.

I figured cleaning it first was a given.

D6 taught me that..

Spray 'em when they're really hot after a good hard ride - universal advice. Fnarr Fnarr.

It's the lube. I had to use it yesterday as I've run out of the SDOC stuff. Schoolboy error.

Personally I like the Muc Off endurance chain lube. It is tacky and sticky but it hardly flings off, maybe a few little spots but think that's because I apply onto a cold chain, after a wash and allow to seep in over a few days. But the plus side of Muc Off is that it smells amazing, it's lile a citrus smell, kinda makes you want to lick it to taste it lol!!
