It's mostly YSS and Nitron.

I think he's a bit too far away for you, he's Grimsby way.

yeah worth a look, just had a quote for fitting, £400ish for fitting both ends plus set up, 1st quote Ive had so no idea if that's reasonable or not

edit: just called local dealer, they just want 2 hours labour for fitting, much better, although I know the other one is a much thorough service and included full set up and fork service. This was literally fitting. I'm thinking I'm sure I can get a set up much cheaper than the difference of £280 though

Set up - go to a track day - there's usually a guy there doing it for £50

exactly what I'm thinking mate - thing is the stuff is shipped out set up for the weight I give them so shouldn't be too far off anyway, and is bound to be better than the rubbish on there

Leaning more towards the Ohlins now for the simple reason the hyperpro doesn't allow preload adjustment once the shock is fitted. I'm finding it hard to decide, Its a lot of money to spend without knowing exactly how well it will help.

A guy I know had the Ohlins Andreanni kit fitted to his. He must have weighed 18 stone or more and my mate on a steelie racebike struggled to keep up with him in the corners. That stuff must be pretty good.. think it's £1200 for the forks and shock rather than the £2500 you'd be looking at for the Nix 30 / TTX36 setup

Remind me tonight and I'll DM you the details for that bloke. He'll talk you through the options and give you an honest assessment of what you need.

not looking at going quite that expensive on the MT, to be honest I'm just not sure the bike is worth that amount of effort, I'm looking at their basic YA335 shock for the rear and then just fitting their fork springs to help the front a bit (its not as bad as the rear as stock)

Cheers mate, I'm still waiting for the money to come through so worth the chat before I do anything.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of the basic stock if you go done that route. You always hear how good the swanky stuff is but it would be good insight into how different it makes the bike compared to the standard stuff

Also how different Ohlins fork springs would be compared to standard.

I honestly think you'd be better off going to someone like MCT. Check out what Darren did for 300 quid on an R nineT Racer.

Good read, thing is thats £300 just for the forks, he had already spent a fair whack on a rear shock, i need to do both and both the hyperpro and ohlins kits are around 600 for both ends plus fitting and set up
