Personally I would put the £850 towards a bike with an oem blipper, or live without one as £850 imo is alot for an accessory to help with downshifting.

Did you fit a screen to yours, Cookie? I as looking at the 765RS yesterday and the s/h bikes they had in (there were two) both had the Triump screen fitted to the back of the fly screen. Just wondered what difference it makes.

I'm going to book a test ride at some point over the next few weeks.

Yes I fitted a puig screen. I didn't think the triumph little fly screen made much of a difference.

Puig makes a big difference without looking shit.

I'm going to get a bellypan, but not black like the bike. They do a Red one for the 'S' model so i reckon it will look good as one of the main reasons for buying the R (as well as budget at the time) was the black and red.

Looks good i think (a mock up but good enough):

I'm also going to get a quickshifter (even though i said i didnt need one...) but for £95 ShiftingControll do one as most of the kit is already on the bike.

Black Brake levers too. Probably ASV with red accents.

I'm debating a tail tidy, but you do get a lot of crap flung onto your back when it's wet or muddy so i'm not sure yet.

Probably get them all in Feb and then get them on the bike at some point.

Should all add up to a good looking bike methinks.
I like the red belly pan. Did you get it?

Not yet, my dealer in France has been less than helpful.

I need to find a way of getting one in the UK.

Well the levers are going back. Sales support was quite slow, even though i'd sent pictures.

Seems they dont have access to technical support any more (whatever that means) so could only offer a return. Strange company.

The Street Triple R is difficult to shop for on occasion as most vendors assume it's an S or an RS. The brake MC's and calipers on all 3 bikes are different for example.

The only levers i've seen that have a definitive fit (only through the forums mind) on the R are ASV, so i'll think about those as they are expensive for a cosmetic change.

I'm not doing very well spending money on this bike!

Next thing is to try and find someone in the UK to sell me a red belly pan that i can pickup when i'm in the UK next month.

Fitted my new belly pan this morning, took about an hour including cleaning underneath before i put it on. I've also given the bike a deep clean and degrease as well as polish.

I also managed to get a couple of scratches out the tank and one on the TFT screen as i tend to stuff my gloves in front of the bars when i'm getting off the bike. I've put a piece of helicopter tape across the TFT screen so it's nice and protected now.

Really chuffed with the belly pan - makes it the bike I wanted colour wise now.

Looks good. The red belly pan sets it off nicely.

Have a look at speedo angels website. The might do a screen protector that fits exactly.

Exactly what Duke says. I like the red belly pan with red sibframe and looks as it should from the factory.

I have the Speedo angle screen protector in my Ducati. Think I paid about 15 for 2 anti glare and 2 clear as wasn't sure which to go with.

That's spot on. It sets the look of the bike off nicely.

i would avoid the anti glare ones as i thought they were rubbish but the clear fits and works very nicely.

It actually obscured the screen more when the sun was out. I did have one of the early versions though so they may have improved since then. The company was started by someone on the Ducati forum.

I see mate. Maybe they have changed them as mine has no issues and does help solve the glare you get on a TFT screen in bright sunshine.
