I love the way the screen pushes the air around the bike, My hands are noticing the lack of wind blast, which you still get even with the handguards.

But, oddly enough, it's too tall for touring on the lowest setting. I've changed the setting to see what's like at a higher setting but on low setting at speeds over 80mph it causes turbulence over your head which causes the helmet to wobble a bit. Not very useful for motorway miles.

I'll have a play with it. In the meantime I've ordered a shorter sportier screen to use for comparison.

I took the standard screen off my Multi and put the short carbon screen on. It looks loads better and i cannot feel any real difference in the two.

If anything the shorter screen creates less buffering than the tall one.

There isn't a short screen option for the Versys. In fact the options are very limited.

I fitted the tall screen once to the Tiger, never again. The wind blast ended up on the back of my lid, I couldn’t see properly and it set up a low frequency weave on a straight road. The standard screen went back on that evening.

I did exactly the same. The taller screen caused my helmet to move about and I was constantly trying to fight it. Couldn’t find a position it worked at. Went the shorty screen and have no problems. But I don’t ride in the weather you guys do.

A friend had the same problem on his bandit 1250 tourer and cured it with one of those clip on adjustable spoilers. It has been tested to pretty much the bikes maximum speed and he's happy with it. (Mra vario screen I think)

Like others I replaced the barn door on my multistrada with a puig sport screen.

15,000 service done. No issues.

I've asked them to speak with Kawasaki about the flaking paint on the fork lowers.

So the new touring screen I ordered arrived today. It's 5 inches wider and 3 inches taller than the OEM screen

decent review of the bike on Visordown.

If I'm keeping this thing I want to upgrade the suspension, which is a bit soft.

The shock is pretty firm to be fair, it's mostly the forks which need the work - although the shock damping isn't great riding solo

Suspension is always worth the money if you are keeping the bike for a while.

I fitted the new screen but I've not had chance to try it. It looks to be the right size but I won't know until Monday when I take the bike to work.

The quality isn't great. The smaller holes are too small so you can't put the rubber housing in for the screws. I was going to drill it out but the drill battery is dead, so I'll do that when I get back. The holes are also slightly out so I've had to use a bit of grunt to get the screen lined up with the housing screws.

But it was dirt cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. I'll send some feedback to the maker after next week.

tbh if it's cheap and lasts the tour, then its worth it.

That's my thinking as well.

Look how fecking shiny that bike is. 8) That C2 crystal spray is excellent.

I fitted the 12v usb socket as well so I can help with Satnav duties if needed.

I've ordered a YSS rear shock. It's fairly basic (no remote preload) but the chap on PB Forum offered me 20% off which means it's very good value for money and will certainly be an improvement over stock.
