Shows that if you do put the effort in you can keep a commuter looking good. Eh D6 ;)

Hhahaha I was thinking the same.

Mines on 5000 miles and worse than that. :D

And my 40K plus speed is still in bits. |(

The Honda tech liked the kwak (lol)

Said it was easy to work on and well built for the price of them.

Yep. Sutton Honda Bromsgrove. It's about 6 minutes away, they charge less than Kawasaki DMC Birmingham and they don't have the 90 minute minimum charge that DMC introduced.

I've ordered some new heated grips. The right one has failed and the grips are heavily worn.

R&G have brought out a new version. You can get the old version on Ebay for £36 delivered. That's a bit of a no brainer IMO.

Did the heated grips. Gave the bike an oil change. Took it for a quick spin n to make sure it's still working. I only took it down one junction of the motorway.

Yeah I fancied a brief test run for some work I've done.

What's the position on going out on our bikes for a short run?

It's classed as none essential travel. You'll get a slapped wrist if you're caught. Possibly a small fine.

My concern is work. If I have a crash when I'm out they won't be very supportive.

My concern would be having a crash and having to goto hospital...

Hospital is one place I really wouldn't want to be going to say the moment and I certainly wouldn't want to increase my odds of going there.

I thought about going to a work meeting on the bike yesterday but decided against it as it just didn't feel right.

The bike is now 3 years old. She's not looking too bad despite the abuse. Mileage is about 34,000. There's some thin paint on some of the metal but the tank and fairings look really good for their age and mileage.

That didn't take too long in the end.

Good but of kit that one, from commuting to hustling with 1000cc bikes on the IoM it did it all and did it well.

There's always motorbike shopping going on.

I don't need to replace the versys, at least not at the moment. I'm working 3 days a week and it's all home working. The sounds being made at work suggest home working is going to be the new standard. If that changes I can look at a commuter. For now the Honda can do the dirty work.

According to Facebook I picked this bike up 4 years ago today.

Great little all rounder. I would have another.
