Dropped it.

In a car park. With people watching it :x

i went to pull away and turn left at the same time. The bike stalled and down she went. Not much damage, just a scuff to the handguard and indicator.

Oh crap sorry to hear that Kwacky. Lucky very little damage and not being funny but also the fact it's a work horse.

Not really, the bike wasn't actually moving at the time!

I did it in the paddock at Lydden on a trackday, also had the misfortune of having it recorded for posterity by a mate with a camera. (facepalm)

Fwiw I did have the excuse of a steering limiter...... :?

My favorite was the petrol station after about 5 or 6 hours riding. I hadn't realised how tired my legs where until I got back on the bike, lent it to the right to put the stand up and couldn't stop it going over....

Cue one bike on it's side and rider laying next to it. To make it worse I couldn't pick the fecking thing up and had to have help from a passer by (blush)

I was surprised how easily I managed to pick the Versys up. It wasn't on its side for long.

The bike is coming up to 20,000 miles. I'm not sure what the service intervals are now, I think they stick to 7,000 miles but with Kawasaki anything is possible.

The bike needs some warranty work as the paint has flaked at the base of the forks. It's a common problem with Kwaks. Kawasaki have approved it so I need to get the bike in. I've given DMC a kick to arrange a date, I wouldn't mind doing it before I move.

I've also asked DMC if the 790 Duke is available for a test ride.

The bike is booked in for next Tuesday.

DMC tell me that the bike is now on an annual service only interval. Given the mileage I'll get it done every 6 months.

new Z8 fitted last Saturday. The old one did about 8,400 miles. It had tread but was squaring off.

One of my headlight bulbs has gone, so that needs replacing. I'll probably go with the Osram nightbreakers.

The bike is booked in for a basic service. I'll get the rear shock fitted and the chain and sprockets replaced and they can do the headlight bulbs for me as well. I'm lazy.

I've asked for the rear to be jacked up 5mm just to quicken the steering up a bit.

A much nicer ride now. The bike doesn't pogo when I brake hard.
