Kwacky, did you sort any mounts?

I've hada good look through now. It does come with adhesive mounts, but I don't fancy using these really. I don't want a big bracket stuck to my helmet or fairing all the time.

I was thinking of a bar mount or one that screws into the fuel cap thing. Have you looked into anything yet?

I have gone for one of the large sucker mounts. It works but it doesn't look great. Once you've stuck it on it's rock solid.

The problem with the kwak is where to place the camera. You've got more options with yours being naked.

Yes, i think I should have room on my bars. I looked at the sucker mounts though.

It's a bit annoying that the mounts are a third of the price of the camera and all the mounts etc you get with it.

I think I paid about £15 or £18 for mine. The offiical site is about twice the price of everywhere else.

Well I tried it out this morning. Not an interesting video so I haven't bothered uploading it. Just a test. And what it showed is that there's too much vibration in the mount at the moment. Need to get it sorted. It gives the video a kind of wobble.

While I was riding I could see it doing it. In fact at one point I put my finger on the cam to stop it.... which reminds me I haven't looked at that bit as the the video should be vibration free.

Anyway, I have either got to play around with the bar mount and see if I can improve it, or buy one of the other mounts.

I was thinking the other day I need to rejuvenate mine

I made a small plate that uses the Petrol Cap Bolts to secure it.
The camera then fits on to that
Its also shaped so the petrol cap still opens fully without having to remove it

I've had to muffle the speaker on it as all you got was wind blast

That looks a good mount Spudda.

I've just been messing with mine in the shed, and I actually think it is the waterproof case which is the reason for vibration. The mounts and everything else are rock solid. And if I use the other mounts there's no movement. It is only when you use the waterproof case (which has a built in mounting point but is made of a clear pllastic) is there movement/vibration,

So I thik the solution is to try again not using the waterproof mount. But with our weather I would really prefer to have the camera inside the case.

Kwacky, where have you mounted the camera on your bike, I got the suction mount but doesn't really fit due to the shape of the tank, and I'm a little sceptical about sticking mounts to either the bike or my lid in case I change where I want them and can't get them off or even sell the bike
Typically the best spot I've found to mount it view wise isn't practical as when I tuck in my chin will catch it lol

On the side fairing next to the indicator. It's rock solid.

Can't remember who it was, might have been Duke but they were highly rating these Garmin Cameras.

Seems like a very good deal.

I went to try my camera again the other week. I put the mount back on the handle bars and tightened the two finger screws. I wanted to be extra sure it was secure so did it as much as possible with my fingers. And snapped the mount in half!!!!

This was a genuine Muvi mount too.

So now I have no where to mount it without using the sticky pad type.

Really? I'll try that. It's pretty much brand new physically (although 12mtnhs old) as I never really used it.

I had it on my bars, but I was still not really happy with the position. I cant decide what to go for.

I wanted something more discreet I think. I really like the muvi camera, but kind of wishing id gone for something smaller or a bullet style.

I've stuck mine on the tank of the SX using the sucker. It doesn't look pretty but I don't notice it when I'm on the bike. Drivers tend to spot it as well which can help when they're being arses.

yeah I guess that's true.

Makes me laugh when people where them on their helmets on massive arm mounts. Makes them look like the google map car or something.
