Steel Brakes (headbang)

Bradl was top 3 in every session all weekend with a great race pace and a proven record at his home round. Only bike on the first 3 rows and easily a 20 second head start on Marquez, Lorenzo and co and doesn't even finish in the points (deadhorse)

Yeah but could have been more ;)

Only joking. Bradl must be gutted with his decision to ride a wet setup on slicks. If he had come in like others he would have been very strong for a podium at his home round.

Toseland was saying carbon disks add about 20 meters to the braking points!

Poor decision he made really.

Seems he didn't have the confidence to race with the fast guys. Hopefully someone else will get his bike next year.

Johnny Rea maybe? Honda want him on a factory bike, so it's either Bradls or Bautista, personally I think Bautista deserves it less. Plus he has strong ties to Suzuki so wonder if he will try and work his way back in there

I personally think Rea's time has passed. He has never looked like being a champion in WSBK.

Hopefully Scott Redding will get Bautista's bike next year. I can see Crutchlow in with a chance of Bradl's bike.

Rea is very well thought of in Honda and they let him ride stoners bike when he was injured and hrc were pleased with his results at the time. If you want to see what he is doing on that uncompetitive Fireblade in wsbk just compare his results to haslam on identical machinery.

I have been told hopper is a firm favourite for the Suzuki motogp ride.

Hopper is a surprise, really, I know he was fantastic when he was on there last machine and showed up Baustista when he was a wild card but I dunno, his form this season is poor, he doesnt look like a GP rider atm and I just wonder if all his injuries have finally caught up with him and despite taking a year off to recover its all too much for him now, which is a shame coz I think he is a stonking rider and seems like a really nice bloke to, I hope im wrong about him and he can battle it out at the front of whatever championship hes in, just not so sure anymore

Haydon posted it on Twitter and I was equally surprised.

I would rather see a younger rider on the bike personally. I reckon once you get past 25 years old, you have missed your chance in Motogp.

I think there is a lot to be said for having a year on a customer Motogp bike and then stepping up to a factory bike. Redding has not been under much pressure this year but is comfortably fastest customer Honda out there. Had he been on the factory bike straight away he would have been under a lot of pressure to prove himself in the first year.

Hayden on the other hand should have gone to WSBK on the Panigale. He just seems to be a riding marketing exercise now in Motogp.

Tbh Duke I agree 100% with everything you said and couldn't put it better myself. I was only saying what I had heard as paddock rumour but personally I agree with you although I do think JR has been dealt some bad cards and been too loyal with honda to his cost as he is equal talent if not greater than Crutchlow imo. What he has done on that Blade goes unnoticed by many unfortunately.

I think you are right in that he has been too loyal. But i guess they also have to make a living from it too.
