I completely misread what you typed !! :D Thought it was a reference to steak + BJ day ]:)

Any update on your fuel economy? Better since the redex and Sainsbury's 97?

Lol.

I'm consistently getting 170+ miles before having to fill up, but I haven't done a sensible couple of runs to see how far I can go. I can't help gunning the throttle from to the to hear the v4 sing.

It has made the engine smoother though, I'm sure of it. It's less viby and the vtec transition seems less hesitant.

Stuck some redex in mine today also, as Cavs post inspired me.

Had to laugh in Halfords. The assistant kept pushing me to buy the Redex advanced which was twice the price of the regular stuff at £16. She would not stop promoting the redex advanced and it was getting to the point where I was going to have to say enough, wind your neck in, the sales pitch was that intense.

When I said thanks for the advice but I will just take the regular redex the response was "I would too, it's probaly just the same"

unbelievable and I did laugh (wasntme)

Glad I inspired you haha

The premium stuff from Sainsbury's was £5, plus I've only used about 1/4 of the bottle.

blade got done over by being a brand snob (giggle)

In other news, the vfr is booked in tomorrow for new boots.

Popped out to see if I could get an adapter for my phone case so it would fit in the vfr. Seems the only choice is an £80 adapter, erm maybe not as that's more than the bag cost.

Got the avons scrubbed in as well, I'm impressed so far. They soak up the bumps well, give good feedback, and are very stable and predictable rolling from side to side.

Also spotted the Storm 3D challenge... Accepted.Image

It's when you forget you put a disc lock on.

Nutz, I usually throw an old towel over the front wheel as a reminder.

No towel.

Broken front mudguard.

From the day I bought my first disk lock and bought one of those cables and always leave it on the disk lock. I couldn't count the number of times it's saved me.

If it's a pretty clean break, grab a fiberglass repair kit. Done a number of repairs like that on the RSV fairing kit. Plus the resin in a garage will make you feel all warm and fuzzy about it.

I'd stick some tape on to hold it together then, vibrations and loose fairing don't mix well.

It's only the leading tip of the front mudguard. None of the fixings are broken
