Fitted the phone holder, impressive looking bit of kit. Hopefully try it out on a ride tomorrow. Image

Had a spare hour so took it out and nailed it round the local country lanes.

I fiddled with the front suspension settings yesterday and boy have they made a difference. The settings are quite a bit softer than before, it hasn't dulled the turn in and it feels a lot more stable on the bumpy stuff.

Phone mount seems to work well too, had the sat nav running for the sake of trying it out.

Back on the Versys this morning for the slog into work. It felt a bit ponderous and slow after riding the CBR600rr and the 765R

I'll have to get a new toy.

No gritters, or grit. Lots of roadworks on the a44 though, it was quite wet there though.

Had fish and chips at the cafe, twas OK and pretty cheep.

What a great day out, despite a bit of drizzle.

Plugged the phone in to the charger, stuck it in the carrier, and set the sat nav for aberystwyth, thumbed the starter and left home at 9:45. Google maps was set to avoid main roads, and it did a good job. Ended up with about 13 miles of dual carriage way somewhere the other side is Swindon, apart from that it was pretty much all single carriage way country lanes. The occasional town got in the way.

The final stretch into abber was the a44, which is well worth the rest of the ride. Just a shame it was drizzling with twin and very damp.

After a quick so for lunch the ride back began, pretty much the same route until I got bored and started taking random turns making the sat nav work for it's money.

There are some amazing roads in Wales and one cracker just outside Hereford which seemed to go on for ever.

I decided to run across to stow and take the normal drop home to finally arrive at any 7pm.

I wish I had stopped to take a few pics but it was already a long enough day and it was all about the riding for me.

If your thinking of the a44 have a look at the a480 from Hereford, fairly sure that was the road I had a real blast on.

The weather looks to have brightened up for you, enjoy the day.

Had a blast out on the new Tuono, only my 2nd decent ride since April, only popped over to the Weston bike night to try the bike out properly. She’s lovely and quick, the QS is a bit lumpy though. Saw another identical tuono, common as muck :D
Took her back up the M5 to see what it’s like at high speed for buffeting and wind noise, as this is my first naked bike. Not too bad at all tbh, quite surprised.
Just annoyed with these idiots who think cos there is bike meet on its a great idea to pop wheelies up and down the seafront :@

Needed some bike therapy so took the bike out for a spin. Stopped off at a Triumph dealer and took the 1050 Speed Triple RS out for a spin.

I'm still giggling.

I'll do a report later.
