They had replied next day but failed to send dyno print out. Just thought you were there today and maybe could ask. No problem I'll ring them when I'm back from work.

Absolutely there great improvements but it also depends on what the customer wants as everyone wants different things. For example, I'm happy with the throttle response and midrange but would love more top end and another 1000rpm to play with. The great thing about a custom remap is its allows some degree of tailoring to the customer needs.

Don't get me wrong I wouldnt want more top end on a s1000rr but a s3 with a 9500 rev limit is a different proposition. I should probably buy the s3 RS as it would deliver straight out of the box, but if a 400 quid remap can do similar that's a much cheaper option.

The reason I asked if the s3 owner had more detail, is I'm always weary of opinions where people say its loads better and when you ask them why, there answer is, "it just is" without being able to quantify why. When I here that I'm always suspicious placebo effect is going on.

There's loads of bikers who need to make changes with no effect other than in their mind.

It's their money I suppose.

I told you he said ridability mid range and throttle pick up ,the guy I spoke to races in the Ducati 600 twin series I doubt its in his head.
He was having his race bike tuned , Dave Wood ran it on the dyno and said it doesnt need anything doing to it to it except lift the revs so its doesnt skip going into corners.A lot of places would have charged for a map etc but he didnt he said the fuelling is perfect and didnt charge him
I am sure they can lift the rev limiter on yours ,I actually told them I am not even sure why I want it mapped I dont need more power ,the response was a lot of people come in saying that but the bikes go out feeling better
I am going back next week for my custom map if there is a difference I will feel it ,if there isnt I will be honest and say so

Put new tyres on, then got informed the wheel bearings are knackered, then the service warning came on while riding back home.

18k... I will be having a warranty discussion with BMW when it's in for its service.

Spent the day around Hereford and Gloucester iny the MV with an old mate. He's got a fully tricked up SuperDuke which I had a go on. So easy to ride. It makes more sense on the road than the MV.

Did about 300 miles up to Heartside and back vis Tan Hill, a great day and we found a new cafe which has excellent cake, Castle Nook Farm next to the Epiacum roman fort. An interesting little walk to burn off the cake before we carried on.
