I have a cheap and cheerful car and I keep catching myself on auto trader looking at Alfa Romeo's.... Don't go too sensible or you will get bored quickly...

In fact, for 100 miles of mainly motorway a 159 diesel is not a bad place to be. Just get a good look at the front subframe, they didn't bother with corrosion resistance.

You have a 159? 1.9 or 2.4?

My brother has a 159 2.4 remapped to 230bhp and 350lbft. I had a blast with him down an awesome little lane last weekend. The 159 Ti looks awesome in the mirror!

Personally I would find a decent £1000 car with a years MOT and service history and buy that.

Looking at Bike Trader, maybe somewhere around the 5 grand mark?

It's got some nice bling on but that won't really count for anything.
The fact that I couldn't find my service book the last time I had it serviced won't help, and neither will the couple of scratches it's got and the surface rust on the brake discs, so that might push it under.

I have a Citroen C1, and regret driving my friends Brera 2.2 as I really liked it...

5k might be optimistic.

I don't honestly know, tbh.
I thought I'd have the bike until it died, long after I'd got another one, but things change I guess.

Sell the bling separately, a little more effort but more coin in your pocket.

Regards the service. Get in touch with the garage and I'm sure they'll check their records and stamp you book now you've found the service book.

Some hard braking or emery paper will clean up the discs which just leaves the scratches and you may be able to improve them with some t cut and polish.

I put the side stand down, then must have knocked it while getting the abba stand out.... It happens I suppose.

The front fairing is cracked at the mirror mount and the cheek fairing was already scuffed, looks like a winter refresh job.

I think we’ve all done a zero speed drop at some time or another.

Hopefully you get it sorted with not to much pain to the wallet

Back wheel out ready for a tyre change.
Forks removed and opened to discover which fork springs I have.
Larger front sprocket cleaned ready for swapping.

Today I took the baffle out of that stubby Lextek can and went to meet some friends, 350 miles later I am surprised, the bike is faster, smoother and uses less fuel with thundering backfires that I can feel as much as hear... It's a proper hooligan.

Also a decision was made, this bike is a keeper and will be repaired to better condition than when I bought it, but that's for winter, pay off the dread-it card first so that I can use it to buy bike parts (rock)

Tried to fit the titanium half exhaust system I ordered over the weekend with little success sadly.

Looking at photos the mounting bracket supplied is incorrect. I emailed the manufacturer over the weekend and they've come straight back to me today on the phone, and said Im correct in identifying the incorrect bracket and they will send me a replacement out as next day delivery.

Thinks go wrong from time to time but its how company's deal with it that sets them apart from others and I can't fault Scorpion Exhausts. Great customer service (y)

The new version is supposed to be an improvement in almost every area, especially low speed handling but I don't see anything wrong with my 17 model. Cruise control will be nice though.

If your mile munching, cruise control is amazing. Never thought I'd be bothered about it but I use it quite a bit.

It's also quite a laugh at slower speeds, stick it on, put both arms out, and hum the dambusters tune....... (note: I'm not condoning this kind of childish behaviour)

Only spoke with scoripon exhaust this afternoon about the problem I had identified and just got an email from the courier saying part will arrive tomorrow and they will text me in the morning with a 1 hour time.

Thats what I call first class service (y)
