Rode home in very warm weather. Not too bad while you're moving. But being stationary at multiple junctions it starts to get a bit warm. I dunno how people in hot countries do it. I suppose they are better acclimatised

Nope....D6 has it - they're just acclimated to warmer weather, and at the same time they're wondering how other people manage to ride in England's Hoth-like environment.

No I don’t.

Plenty do and it makes me cringe everytime I see it.

I wear full gear always. My jacket has two zip vents that do feck all and it doesn’t have any mesh or perforated areas. You do just get used to it. When I was at the refinery I used to do a 1.5 hr commute each way and during summer you’d hit a dozen or so 40+ days. I’d just put on skins under my leathers and wet them first.

But I love to be hot, I work in the tropics in full head to toe PPE around processes that also radiate heat.

I’d much rather ride in 40+ than under 15 deg C.

Didn’t see your reply till I posted, but exactly this.

I literally have a quilted liner in my jacket, neck roll and thermal wear and heated grips on if it’s below 20 deg C.

I took the big Honda out for a couple of hours

It isn't the easiest bike to ride but it sounds ace and it's pretty rewarding. I like being out on it. Must be my age

It only matters what you think if its your bike.

Occasionally I do miss that upright imposing seating position.

Today I finished fitting the Rizoma Club S indicators to the SX, there was nothing wrong with the Oxford Nightriders but I didn't quite like them enough.

Gave the back tyre some grief around the cotswolds and found some awesome roads I've never ridden before

Not what I've done today. But what I should do tomorrow. Heavy thunderstorms predicted. Do I ride or not

Take the car. Your tyres are bound to be down to the cord.

Despite the wind and heavy showers I stuck the top box on and took it to the shops.

I dropped it from dynamic pro to dynamic so I had a little TC. I do love the XR, it's the perfect all rounder and exactly what I want/need from a bike right now.

Rode in today. But tomorrow is a thunderstorm so just moved my "in the office day" to wednesday so I dont have to bother riding in it.

Also had a lovely rear slide while banked on a left bend accelerating showing off to a rider on L plates. Didn't mean it, and it was all over before I could even react. so must have looked cool even if it was an accident. lol.

On sunday I popped down to Cheddar as I am planning to go out this sunday down there so wanted to know a route

I planned 2 routes (well TomTom did)

1st one there

As many squiggles as possible, as many hills as possible

Verdict, lots of nationals but mostly crap small roads with bad surfaces! However it did have some amazing roads thrown in but I found they jusr werent for very long, it took you down them to get off a nice road and place you back onto a small one again! Not a ride out I would like to do again

2nd one

As straight and simple as possible BUT avoid motorways

It took me down some of the worst roads I've seen for a long time! Will not be doing that!

So a couple of nights ago I stayed up and brought good old trusty road map out, with google maps and tom tom route planner, and I planned my own route. This looks ok for what I can see but I need to ride it! I shall see on Sunday!

Rocket had one and was always praising it. Should be good fun on a supermoto, blasting the back lanes :P
