It got colder and darker as I rode into work this morning. That is one large and nasty weather front coming in.

It was crap here this morning. Just enough drizzle to get the visor wet but not enough to keep it clear. I put the lining back in my jacket as well, was 8 degrees when I left.

A little different to last summer!

Got wet! Proper wet!

For the first time ever I felt a bike aquaplane, at 70 mph in lane 3 of the M4 was a bit of a "pucker up" moment.

A number of times I felt the bow wave from the front wheel splash on my boots.

Hopefully I can get my gear dried in time to do it all again tomorrow..

But the return gone was quite epic.

Pulled up on the drive, turned the bike off, fit of the bike, the exact moment my second fit got the ground there was a huge flash of lightening and an instant clap of thunder and all the electric went off down the street.....

A motorcyclist in Florida was killed instantly yesterday after having been struck by lightning.
It seems the lightning struck him square in the head, going straight through his helmet visor, hitting him full in the face..

Not today, yesterday. 8 hours and 400 miles of motorways with rain bouncing 2 feet off the tarmac. On a supersport bike! In leathers!

On the plus side, my suspension is a lot better after a bit of MCT tinkering.

It can always be worse Monty (wasntme) just thinking you could have been stuck in a labour party conference for 8 hours (giggle)

Nope - it's a temporary measure as you've had surgery. Nothing more.

You might have to disclose your heart attack though when you next get insurance. It depends on your insurers. Some only ask about conditions which may affect your ability to drive/ride

Got the 999 back together and fitted the new fairings which aren’t very good TBH, rather pi55ed off and have complained and waiting a response.
Just have to get it MOT’d then I can get back out on it.

I'm not banned, but you do have to be nominated by the CLP. Our CLP is somewhat what you might call Blairite
