I hope you are alright tonight/ tomorrow. Hope you get to relax and no issues with yourself as that's the main thing. As for the bike it's a shame but pretty certain with your experience and knowledge you will make it right again. Let us know how it goes

So did some body remediation and calmed down the nerve pain and numbness a fair bit.

Go down to the GB to start fault finding.

Disconnect the hose from the fuel tap and prove flow from normal and reserve settings. Ok, like I thought, wasn’t fuel. Both flowing fine.

Must be ignition. Start basic. Key on, check kill switch..... oh there it is, I bumped the kill switch off with my numb hand (god knows how!!)

Flick it back on, fuel on, choke on, first kick, fires into life (facepalm)
Really glad it was a simple fix...just a shame it was after pushing the bike home!

Of course it could have been something completely different and you just knocked the cut-out switch when you were pushing it up the hill. (devil)

That is in the back of my mind Deegee but it fits with the way it cut out, and why it wouldn’t bump start rolling back down to the corner. And the ease in which it started gives me confidence. I never goes on first kick normally (but it usually sits for days between starts)

Lucky it was French cameras that got you speeding then Duke, as UK ANPR would have had you for no MOT also (blush)

Would you have been insured and covered for repatriation in France Duke?

No idea. It was due on the last day only so would have been OK for much of the trip.

I don't think no MOT stops inusrance cover unless the bike has a fault that would have been picked up on an MOT.

Put the pillion pegs back on the ktm and removed the optimate lead. Ready for trade in now, this is probably the only bike I will miss when it's gone.

Unashamedly batshit mental, and I've enjoyed every ride on it.

BOG ALL!

But I have just splashed £307 on a pair of Brembo Serie Oro (Gold series) discs for the GT. Up to 3 weeks delivery is a kick in the nuts but nowhere in the UK seems to have them for under £200 each.

The standard discs have already been straightened and warped again so I don't feel like trying again, plus too much flexing on the aluminium centres is a bad idea, one cracking would not be fun.

Might try some different pads, SBS or Bendix this time I think...

Gave it a once over before it gets an airing with Kwacky tomorrow.

Probably better put some air in the tyres though...

Swore at it over the weekend, after I fitted the new fairings ( The ones from Italy which aren't very good ) I then parked the bike up in the garage against the wall and left it. I moved it over the weekend and the brake MC has leaked and the fluid has ruined the paint. this side is up against the wall so I didn't notice ;( ;(
I wasn't very happy with them in the first place so ive decided once the new MC is fitted and ive got some spare Wonga im going to get a set in carbon fibre and have them painted professionally. I like the idea of leaving some of the CF on show in the paint scheme.
