Just have to get it MOT’d then I can get back out on it.
When do you reckon you'll be back on the road?
I can ride now, ive been on the Supermoto a couple of times but im respraying the panels on that at the minute so im bikeless at the minute until the 999 is Mot'd.

Stuck it on a ferry back to England, then rode it like I stole it all the way home (devil)

Got home and cleaned it, checked the tyre pressures, cleaned, lubed, and adjusted the chain. All set for the daily grind.

Re-fitted the front mud guard, it's a 2 piece and the oem bolts had rusted into the rubber/brass well nuts so I ordered black stainless bolts which I thought came with the well nuts. Wrong. So I had to wait for some of those to arrive.

Then I was going for a ride, but as soon as I started getting changed a black cloud dumped it's guts all over... Testing refurbished brakes in the wet didn't seem a good idea.

Gave it a snow foam wash before i went out this morning.

Probably still needs another wash and also some tar spots to remove from the road resurfacing we rode through in France. And when i say we rode through it, we literally did ride over freshly laid tarmac.

Put the re sprayed panels back on the Supermoto, just need the seat back now and I’ll be good to go.

Given the vfr the day off, it's had a very hard week...

Now looking at touring/adventure style bikes. Mrs Nutz agreed that it was a waste having a bike that rarely gets used and having a newer bike that could do the job of both commuting and fun would make more sense.

I see that as a green light to go bike shopping.

Well when I got back yesterday I had the van cleaned and as it was dry for a change I cleaned both bikes.
im very pleased the way the 660 has turned not bad for a couple of rattle cans, I got 2 Pipeworx cans off Fleabay for £220 Bargain !!, sprayed the blue panels black, and ive had the seat re done.

I've patched the tyre up on the versys and pumped it up. I'll check it in the morning to make sure it's not leaked. All it's got to do is get me to the tyre dealer for new rubber.

How did you patch it in the end? I seem to recall you saying it was an elongated hole, which, let’s be honest is a complete pig to patch even temporarily and make it hold pressure.

I filled the hole with rubber glue. Once that set I covered it with a motorcycle inner tube patch.

It's only got to get me about 10 miles

Chuff me the Versys feels small and slow compared to the Africa Twin.

No. It does a job. It was sweet traveling through the heavy traffic on the way home. I may as well keep it until it dies.
