They are a lovely couple from the 675.cc forum. Couldn't believe it when we turned up and I noticed them!! So nice seeing them. They were gutted it went but they are moving and travelling around Europe for an unknown amount of months. What a great experience that would be Image

Sounds amazing. But they should have kept the 675 and toured Europe on that (rock) haha (giggle)
That would be a fabulous bike to be using but think they are going to be doing big mileage by the sounds of it so needed something more comfortable and something that could jist be sold as is after using and abusing lol

Horrible ride home. Had to filter for about 8 miles on the motorway only to find that where it goes from the M40 to the M42 was shut, so I had to go the wrong way home. Got off at the next junction where everyone else was. Seeing as its Solihull every fecker is an on oversized 4X4 which makes filtering near impossible. I take a back route but a few others have done the same. Plus there's loads of road works. I finally get to some open roads but the right I need is shut. I go the long way around Earlswood Lakes only to find that another road is shut.

Back on my usual route home which takes me past a dodgy estate, Just as I'm getting close a quad bike and an off road bike with 2 on it pull out in front of me, so I roll off and drop back to lose them. About half a mile down the road I catch up with them again, so I hide behind a Sainsburys delivery truck and stay there until they disappear. I might be paranoid but I had no intention of letting them see me.

Juat over an hour and half to get home.

Traffic on our roads is starting to reach crisis point. There are just too many vehicles on the road.

Yes it was lol!! My mate sent me a screenshot of the bike and I thought looks tidy with all the wanted extras. I said to him go for it and he won it on eBay. Me, him and another mate all went up to go meet the seller and collect the bike and it was Stu and Treesr lol!! What a great couple proper genuine people always love seeing them guys....
I totally agree Rossgo, I have a lot of time for those two.
Incidentally, they're both IAM as well mate ( just in case you'd forgotten).

Actually, they both have 675's (Stu had Daytonas & Treesr had the Street Triple ). Iirc they've done dozens of roadtrips on them around Europe already.
I'm guessing this is going to be something rather different to their annual couple of weeks away blatting over the Alps etc..
Whatever they have in mind, I hope it works out well for them. They deserve for it to, imho.

Rode it.

First time for two months and it really highlighted how much feeling I’ve lost in my hand and fingers.

Visited my mates distillery and rode home with two bottles of gin, a bottle of lemoncello and a bottle of passioncello (passion fruit based and delicious) in my top box.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Cleaned it, lubed chain, did tyre pressures, refitted the satnav, ordered some led indicators.

Good days spannering (y)

Fitted the ktech shock
Stripped, cleaned and lubed all the shock linkage
Set the sag
Cleaned the horrible wax of the chain
Lubed and aligned the chain
Fitted Bendix MRR pads
Cleaned the calipers
Bled the brakes
Adjust the clutch free play
Replaced some bolts
Torqued all fasteners
Topped the coolant up
Fitted a trickle charger plug
Cleaned and lubricated the exhaust valve

The new shock ought to feel a lot more compliant than the stock unit Blade, but it may well highlight the lesser inadequacies that the oem forks have, that said the best thing (cheap too!) is an oil change for the forks, the oil degrades pretty quickly on those iirc.

Disappointed tbh. Was main dealer serviced 110 miles before I bought it and the job card says they checked the coolant.

Maybe they did but it was below minimum so I would expect that meant top up.

What's the theory behind the drop ? Leaks common place?

Ever owned a puppy Blade.?

Remember coming downstairs in the morning, & having to go back up to change your socks after stepping in a puddle.?

Kwacker's is probably going to disapprove, but I simply can't leave you hanging on it mate.
Triumph's idea of a joke, to be played on all conscientious & mechanically able new owners of the 675 range.: - The "Min" level is the level at which anything above will be displaced when the engine is up to temp.

StMarks defo haven't forgotten. Their skills on a bike out do mine and to be honest many others as well! I remember Stu coming to a 675 fest a while back on a NC750 (his commuter) and he was able to still be at the front of the pack!
