30 miles on reserve and still I can only get 17.5 litres in a tank that's supposed to hold 21 litres.

I think someone is telling fibs.

Sounds like the triumph - i have 3+ litres in the tank after the dash has gone bananas and says i have 0 miles left. I suppose you really do have no excuse to run out :D

I can only imagine there needs to be a certain amount in the tank to prevent the pump from sucking in air and getting damaged whilst riding “normally”. Does sound a bit on the safe side though. (wasntme)

Today I fitted a USB socket in place of the standard cigarette lighter style one with it's usb adaptor which fell out, a lot.

Didn't take long as everything is nicely accessible with the dash off and KTM were kind enough to use a standard size.

And today a 300 mile ride up into the dales, lunch at a small place in Middleton in Teasdale (Cafe 1618) through some very tight and twisty roads, the brakes got a workout and the tyres impressed me, I'm starting to gel with this bike and am trusting it more and more.

On the way back I let my Italian friend have a go while I rode his tuned V-Strom 1000, compared to my GT It's got a lower seat with high bars, smoother low down grunt with good confident handling but it's no Superduke. He is now upset that he didn't buy a Superduke GT, he just loved it except the tiny controls and the indicator switch, which barely moves on the KTM, and has about an inch of travel on the suzuki. Might show him how to turn the TC off next time, he likes a wheelie.

Took the rs250 to Anglesey for a classic track day. Not done the new circuit before. I enjoyed it the group was really mixed bikes and abilities. The rs never missed a beat but it was hard work not much room for error when over taking most of the bikes as they had more power. It was great to give it some beans in the sun round a track.

Haven't been on the forum much lately. Haven't been on the bike much either.
Was contemplating a post in the venting thread.

However, me and my daughter decided to get out on the bike this weekend. A bit of a stretch for our unconditioned posteriors, but we headed out to the Ponderosa on the Horseshoe Pass.
Not the most exciting of rides, seeing as the vast majority of it was on the A5, but Holly isn't up to a Tankslap rideout yet (and neither are my skills carrying a pillion), and although we had fun sailing past all the cars today wasn't really about the ride, it was about the time together.

Fitted some new rear pads ready for the mot. Still a bit of life left in the old ones, but for £15 might as well do it.

I'll be glad when the summer holidays start. The traffic seems to be really bad this week.

Organised it's annual service - cant believe i've had it a year already! It also needs some recall work done.

Local dealer is really busy so cant get it done until end of August, but thats positive for them. Selling well apparently.

I've also organised a new Speed Triple RS for an extended test while mine is being sorted.

To be fair Ducati have a good reputation for fixing faults out of warranty if its a manufacturing defect.

The motorways looked shit so I took the long way home

Sadly so did everyone else.

Country lanes, hot weather, heavy traffic and double white lines are a shit mix.
