Can not wait to get new rear tyre, my old one is so square its not even funny, I tipped it into a roundabout this morning and for a split second thought id lost the rear it dropped off a cliff that badly.

New one should be at dealers today but wont get a chance to get the wheel off and down to them until Friday at the earliest id imagine.

Had a call from the dealer yesterday to tell me the oil tank was buggered and the couldn't get the sump plug out. Said not to worry and I would source a replacement tank.

Went to pick up the bike this morning only to be told it was still in bits and the wouldn't release it as they didn't deem it safe. They could have flipping told me on the phone. Grrrrr.

Sourced a replacement tank for half what they where going to charge, and am getting it delivered to them.

Then came the news that all the demo bikes are out today and so is the loaner. So I've got the spare loaner, an ER6 (gah) not what you want on the nicest day of the year so far!

A new one or the older model ER6? The later ones handle pretty well, you should be able to throw it about a bit.

Finished my last night shift went home had breakie and then fitted the Renthal grips. I questioned the colour at first (very light grey) but now they are on i actually quite like them. Lookong forward to my firsy ride trying them out, unsure how better they can be to be honest

One thing i didnt realise was the fsct the throttle grip didnt have a lip to secure the front bit in, so now theres a gap, a little worried as i guess on the OEM ones it also creates a water tight seal for the cables

Whats everyone elses throttle like, guess we all have that problem!

Got the bike out for an evening ride to the Staffs Ducati Owners club. Had a nice drink, a chat and looked at some nice bikes.

Then this older guy wanders over from one of the houses. Turns out he was a mechanic for.race team at the TT in the early eighties. Raced Ducati Pantahs and an Aermacchi. Really interesting listening to him. He loved the TT b

If you think that on his 675 mate, then it'll be interesting to see your reaction to similar shots on the Rs250. (giggle)

Nice shot Rocket, looks like you've gelled well already.?

Stalking and hunting spring time wobblers. I love this time of year. Full on sportsbikes with matching leathers clad riders being over taken on the outside of bends by some auld fecker on a Versys 650

it's petty but it's funny.

one of the reasons I was quite glad to get off a sportsbike, no one expects me to be quick and if I do overtake someone more shame on them haha!

Rode it to the BMW dealer so I could test ride some bikes, all were awesome in different ways but none can replace the MT-10. 8)

If only I could make it use less go juice.

Then I rode it up to Squires to meet a friend with his new bike, a 2016 Suzuki Vsrtom 1000, very nice it is too... He wants to let me ride it so he can have a go on the MT.

Rode it to the garage after work so that they can stick some new tyres on and MOT it tomorrow.

First time I've ridden it this year. Wasn't sure where the garage was so I followed Mrs Itchy in the car. I'm glad I did as well as there were police parked up on the motorway, pointing at me as I passed them. (sweat)

They'd obviously heard me give a squirt of speed as I accelerated to overtake a lorry and make sure I could pull out without sideswiping into a car in the outside lane. Or they heard how awesome the Mivv Tuonos still sound!!! :D

Given that the bike is off the road, so not taxed or tested I was 90% sure they'd catch me on ANPR and give chase. Either it wasn't fitted or the lorry obscured the view as I went passed. Or they just didn't care!
Whichever way, the bike is safe and sound at the bike shop and even attracted the eye of the owner, earning it's first compliment of the year! (y)

Cleaned it on the trip to Wales and back she ate 4 tanks of fuel and each cost around £17 to fill..... It's a thirsty girl.
