that's not bad, couple of years mileage on the bike wont be too high and should mean you still get a decent return on it then, about the same commute as me, mines 30 each way

When I had the SX the dealer told me that 30,000 miles seems to be the cut off point for buyers of second hand bikes. There are still loads of people who naturally want low mileage but he said clued up buyers don't mind high mileage on the newer bikes provided there's a full service history.

My SX had over 29,500 miles on it and it was sold within 2 or 3 days of me trading it in. It helped that it had a full dealer service history from the dealer selling it - they could say with hand on heart that there were no issues with the bike.

I know on the Versys forum there are a few bikes with over 100,000 miles on them. The owners all say the same thing - regular oil changes and proper servicing.

mileage isn't an issue for me as long as you know its been looked after as you say, in hindsight the worst buy was the insanely low mileage zx6r which had a few issues and no service history, my Honda on the other hand had 32k on it and a service history and was bullet proof, I wouldn't bat an eyelid at 30k plus on a well looked after and well maintained bike as long as the price is right

I may have taken the long way home 8)

What a little ball of laughs that street is. A couple of times I had to slow to catch my breath. Best way to end the working day.

Average MPG for the last couple of days on the Street is 36.6 (angel) (rock)

I think it's time to switch back to the Versys before I bankrupt myself on petrol bills.

I wish I was able to get 36mpg on the Ninja.. Never really saw more than 25mpg :(

Admittedly, when I rode with you I think I got over 40mpg. Maybe it's the company I keep? :D

I'm clearly too slow then.

My lack of ability aside, the STR is Euro 3 and as it's a triple you don't have to rev it so much to get it going.
