2015 rideouts

Post by Kwacky »

Anyone got any roads to suggest?

I want to do our usual routes, like the Cotswolds, North and Mid Wales, Derbyshire etc.

The ride out to Cheddar Gorge was good.

I fancy another mid week wales run.

We've got Isle of Man in September and Spain in October.

Any new places we should visit?

B4391 in Wales has been touted as a great road in Fast Bikes magazine over the last few months. I don't think its one i have ridden in full as they suggest.

Its on my list to do and ride right up to Snowdon and around there.

Mid Wales I am very interested in and also the Cotswolds. Need to get out on the bike as much as possible this year! Mid week is slightly difficult as am working however I have some holiday spare so if planned in couple weeks in advance and if no one else is off at work then I will try to take the time off. Cheddar Gorge I missed out on so I must make the effort to tag along!

Was that the one we crawled along or the one that managed to get up to walking pace?

I think we only did about half of it that day, Blade. It goes on to Ffestiniog but we turned off to Portmeirion.

There's some stunning As and Bs around Melton Mowbray and quite handy for both the North and South.

Jack, have you got their dates for 2015? I'll put them in the racing section.

Plenty around the Cotswolds and beyond down into Hampshire and Wilts. All in my head though lol... happy to lead some ride outs. Looking to arrange one around the first half of Feb, if the weather is not too bad.

I want to do a few rides down south this year. I don't think I did a single coast run last year. The cheddar run was good, just the last 3rd of the route needs a bit of fine tuning to cut out some of the town riding.

I've got a mate over in kent that I haven't seen in a long while so I fancy heading that way again. There are some great roads in kent.

Some rides around that way would be good for our more southern slappers. You could do those when the more northern runs are being held
