I like the idea of that Jack, the underground part should open out into a batcave though. Or a dungeon for pissy neighbours of course.

If that was mine each time my bike came up from the ground there would be 4 strippers, one on each corner, doing a pole dance.

Someone on MotoForum is selling a motorbike shed. Ebay is blocked at work so I've not clicked the link.

Re: Motorcycle Garages
Thats a good find mate, but circumstances have changed and it doesn't look like I'll be needing a new shed for the moment.Kwacky wrote:Someone on MotoForum is selling a motorbike shed. Ebay is blocked at work so I've not clicked the link.

If you're in no rush I would hold fire. The oil price drop is starting to have an impact on the economic markets. I fear there's another dip coming.

Re: Motorcycle Garages
Once the new rules regarding pensions come in in April i reckon house prices may well sky rocket.

Do you reckon Duke? People are struggling to get on the first rungs of the property ladder. Can the market afford a big rise?

Re: Motorcycle Garages
The rise is already happening, the recent change in stamp duty has allowed houses like ours to break through the 250 barrier. This in turn has meant houses in the next bracket up are already upping their prices inline.

Also don't forget the government is now sponsoring 95% mortgages with the help to buy scheme.

Can it afford a big rise? No not really.Kwacky wrote:Do you reckon Duke? People are struggling to get on the first rungs of the property ladder. Can the market afford a big rise?
But when everyone over 55 is suddenly allowed to draw down their pensions pots and spend/invest as they please, then investing in property will give them the very best return for their money. Nothing else will come close over the next 20 or so years i suspect.
No one knows for certain what the future will bring but bricks and mortar is as safe as it can be and with more and more people having no hope of ever getting a mortgage then renting is their only option and the rental market will be in huge demand and almost certainly push up the cost of renting too. The only way to meet the deamnd for that is to have more houses on the market to rent.
As things stand its a no brainer if you can draw say £100-150k from your pension pot. Nothing else will give them a return of potentially 6+% whilst the actual value of the investment is still likely to rise steadily.
